Tallow
Tallow is a type of fat made by melting the hard fat from cattle or sheep, especially the fat around their kidneys. It has a smooth texture, golden color, and a mild savory flavor that makes it perfect for cooking. Tallow is also widely loved for skincare, packed with vitamins A, D, E, and K that nourish and protect the skin.
Tallow is loved for its versatility. In cooking, it’s perfect for frying or roasting thanks to its high smoke point and rich flavor. In skincare, it’s a natural moisturizer that absorbs easily, leaving skin soft and hydrated. Its vitamins and antioxidants also help improve skin texture, fight acne and decrease signs of aging.
Tallow is made by slowly melting the hard fat around an animal’s kidneys, called suet. This process removes impurities and leaves behind smooth, creamy fat.
